Acrylic resins
ACRYLIC RESINS
Our complete range of acrylic resins for leather finishing.
Bomapell’s acrylic resins can be used as sealants and base coats to add high-performance leather protection for a wide range of applications.
Our acrylic resins offer a variety of particle sizes, film hardness, and glass transition temperatures.
BOMACRILL 36
Acrylic Polymer in dispersion
Main features
BOMACRILL 36 is an acrylic binder with excellent elasticity and softness.
It has an extraordinary covering power and the film produced is transparent and does not weigh down the grain of the skin. It can be used for nappa leather clothing and for footwear. Particularly used for difficult skins with anchoring problems and very elastic. Used together with a penetrant, it guarantees excellent impregnation.
BOMACRIL 177
Polyacrylate in aqueous dispersion
Main features
BOMACRIL 177 is an acrylic resin with excellent softness properties, especially recommended for nappa leather clothing. When mixed with other acrylic resins with dry and larger particles, tasseled footwear items can be obtained. Finishes made with this resin are light. The film is soft and the stickiness is low. Good resistance to low temperatures. When coupled with polyurethane resins, full-grain aniline items can be obtained where a natural finish is required.
BOMACRILL 42
Polyacrylate in aqueous dispersion
Main features
BOMACRIL 42 is an acrylic resin with excellent softness properties, especially recommended for nappa leather clothing.
BOMACRILL AN/40
Acrylic polymer water emulsion
Main features
BOMACRILL AN/40 can be used in lower cationic primers in order to improve the polishing characteristics or increase the grafting of the upper layers. Usually the product is added with binders and pigments and applied by spray. The product in general is stable even with anionic products after verification. The product should be stored at temperatures between +35C and +5C. Like most water-based products, it is heavily affected by very low temperatures. The product may be irreversibly damaged by freezing. Shake before use.
BOMACRIL AR/85
Self-crosslinking acrylic resin
Main features
BOMACRILL AR/85 is a self-cross-linking acrylic resin that allows the achievement of finishes with high physical resistance. The product is a polymer recommended for the finishing of different types of leather, in particular when a finish with a good degree of coverage and with a natural appearance and hand is required. BOMACRILL AR/85 is particularly recommended when finishes with water and solvent resistance are required. As with other self-cross-linking resins, it is advisable to finish applying the subsequent replacement and water-based mixtures within 24 hours, so as not to compromise adhesion. It is recommended to protect from frost and store in original closed packaging. The resin film is transparent and elastic, not very sticky. The product has excellent lightfastness and good resistance to low temperatures.
BOMACRIL F34
Acrylic copolymer in emulsion for impregnation
Main features
BOMACRIL F34 is a medium-hard acrylic resin suggested for the impregnation of footwear items that require dry and wet resistance. This self-cross-linking resin at room temperature can be used not only for impregnation but also in base coats or in final formulations (top coat).
BOMACRIL S 603
Formulated based on synthetic polymers
Main features
BOMACRIL S 603 is a formulation of synthetic polymers which, used alone or in combination with medium-hard protein binders, makes it possible to obtain articles with a more or less marked “aged” effect depending on the type of drumming to which the leathers are subjected. BOMACRILL M 603 can be used both on full grain and frosted, on the flesh side (after tasselling with waxes or oils) in combination with casein pigments.
BOMACRIL S51
Aqueous aqueous emulsion of acrylic copolymer
Main features
BOMACRILL S 51 is mainly used as an auxiliary to improve the adhesion of finishes. The product allows you to obtain a well-polished and closed flower. At the subsequent finishing, the degree of transparency, shine, elasticity and brilliance is significantly improved. It is also recommended for impregnating leathers to be used for different purposes. To be used on full grain in the measure of 20-30% of the pigment, mixed with other binders both acrylic and polyurethane. It allows you to obtain very light finishes both on leathers with anchoring problems, given its high impregnating power, and on natural finishes.
