BOMATAN DLX EXTRA
Condensation product of dihydroxy-diphenyl-sulfone
Main features
BOMATAN DLX EXTRA has a wide range of use both as a tanning agent for white leathers and as a lightener on chrome and vegetable leathers. BOMATAN DLX EXTRA gives good results in the retanning of chrome leathers to which it gives a fine grain and a soft touch. Thanks to its excellent lightfastness, it is particularly suitable for the production of white leathers. In the retanning of dry tumbled leathers, BOMATAN DLX EXTRA gives a fine and uniform grain. IKTAN TP2
Liquid Synthetic Retanning Agent
Main features
IKTAN TP2 is a retanning agent that can be used alone or in combination with plant extracts or in the retanning of chrome leathers for the production of frosted items that are vacuum dried. It gives a good fullness, lighter colors and an elastic flower. Before use, the skins must be neutralized. Dyeing operations can be carried out before or after retanning. When combined with plant extracts or resins, it improves their absorption and distribution. The product has good light stability.
BOMATAN ALW
Synthetic substitution tannin with excellent tanning properties
Main features
BOMATAN ALW is used for all types of leather, for example:
– For the retanning of footwear leathers with excellent fullness
– For the production of nubuck with a fine frosted effect
– For the retanning of white leathers with good lightfastness
– For the retanning of bovine and sheepskin for clothing
– For the retanning of leather items with good resistance to perspiration
– For the white tanning of all types of hides
– Good grinding effect on crusts
– Gives shiny skin on pastel shades
To be used after neutralization before fattening.
4-6% BOMATAN ALW is recommended.
We recommend 20-30% of BOMATAN ALW when used alone.
BOMARTAN S5F
Liquid Tannin for White
Main features
BOMARTAN S5F is a liquid tannin that is miscible in water in all proportions. The completely Formaldehyde-free product is a quaternary organic molecule used. Generally used to produce chromium-free white leather, it gives the leather an important resistance to light and high temperatures. Used at pH 2.0-5.0
In order to achieve good penetration, it must be set at pH 5.0 – 5.5. The final basification is of extreme importance to obtain soft leathers. BOMARTAN S5F can be used in pre-tanning, tanning and as a dye fixative.
BOMARTAN X3
Oxazolidine-based product
Main features
BOMARTAN X3 is a liquid oxazolidine derivative ranging in colour from straw-yellow brown to colourless, easily diluted in water. It is used in both mineral (chromium) and vegetable tanning. BOMARTAN X3 gives the leathers a more uniform grain, improves the distribution of the tanning agent and therefore the uniformity and intensity of the dyes. BOMARTAN X3 is generally used:
1) after chrome tanning or retanning, where by increasing the fixation of the chromium, it gives more softness, a finer grain and greater tear resistance.
2) as an adjuvant in the pre-tanning of vegetable leathers, after pickling and before synthetic tannins, giving softer skins.
3) As an adjuvant in chrome-vegetable or vegetable-chromium retanning to increase the shrinkage temperature giving finer grain and better polishing ability.

BOMARTAN GT 25
Glutaric Aldehyde
Main features
BOMARTAN GT 25 is a retanning aldehyde used for various items with a high degree of fixability. BOMARTAN GT 25 is compatible with acids, neutral salts and mineral tannins.
Thanks to its characteristics, BOMARTAN GT 25 gives softness, full leather with high water resistance and high resistance to perspiration that can give uniform dyes.
The astringent power of BOMARTAN GT 25 depends on the pH value. On chrome-tanned leathers, BOMARTAN GT 25 can be introduced as a retanning agent. Due to its compatibility with many commonly used dyes and oils, BOMARTAN GT 25 can be introduced at any time during the dyeing and/or fattening process, ensuring that the pH is less than 4. Due to its relatively high pH, the neutralization period is considerably shortened.
